SOLSTICE BLOCK OF THE MONTH
February 17 @ 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm$295
Saturdays, February 17, March 10, April 14, May 12, June 9, July 14 (6 classes) from 1-3:30 p.m. Teacher: Lisa Driscoll.
This winter-themed applique block of the month is made using a raw edge freezer paper applique called Edge Coloring Applique, a technique which Lisa loves! You will receive a kit each month which includes the full-sized pattern and fabric for your block. In the first kit you will also receive Roxanne’s Basting Glue and 8 yards of fusible, tear-away stabilizer. The first five months you will be making your blocks, and the sixth month will be the borders and finishing. Binding fabric is also included in the last month. Total value of six classes, patterns, fabrics and other supplies included is $320. Make a one time payment of $295 or 3 payments of $106 which are due on each of the first three months.
There is an optional Aurifil thread set for $140 and includes 12 large spools of thread specially created for the Solstice block of the month.
You will need to purchase freezer paper from the grocery store and bring your sewing machine in good working order, paper and fabric scissors, marking pen, and any other supplies you may need (a more detailed list will be e-mailed to you when you sign up).
Class is limited to 8 students.
